Full Flow T-Bar Test

The purpose of the T-Bar test is to measure in-situ low undrained shear strength. Our T-Bar has a projected area of 100 cm2, which is ten times the area of the normal CPT cone. A major advantage of the T-bar test over the CPT test is that the insitu vertical stress is equilibrated across the T-Bar (soft soils close up the gap behind the probe) and there is no correction for ambient stress.
